Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle

Post by luvtoread on Sat May 11, 2013 11:09 am

I just came across this interesting Adventure Game at Steam for $2. 67
There is a demo you can download.
It is a murder mystery game -not a dark and eerie, it looks like it
might be fun. You question suspects and try to solve the crimes.
( I have not played it yet, I will give a better review later)
Its on sale till the 17th, I believe.

As best I can tell, this is part of a six-part series. I'm just not sure which part it is!

    AdventureGamers links:

Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 1 - Little Riddle’s Deadly Dilemma
Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 2 - The Mystery of Riddle Manor
Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 3 - The Mystery of the Concealing Flame
Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 4 - Death from Above
Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 5 - The Riddles of the Past
Blue Toad Murder Files: Episode 6 - Flight of the Felonious Fugitive

Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle
    - Game Description:
As one of the famous Blue Toad detectives in this co-operative downloadable six-episode series, players must solve puzzles, interrogate suspects, use powers of observation and investigate clues to uncover the strange goings on in this quaint and sleepy English village of Little Riddle.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Elk grin

I just finished the demo. Very strange game! Different, but that's good. Quirky characters, snarky narrator.

At the end of the demo (you get to the part of where you have to guess the murderer) it says that the full version has 5 more mysteries to solve. So, you get all of the 6 mystery episodes when you buy it.

I bought it, downloaded it, and now have access to all episodes.

One thing I had to figure out on my own is that it will say "click to continue" but there is no cursor at times, and to continue just hit the "enter" button on the keyboard.

The puzzles can be tricky. If you get one wrong you can try again. If you give up it shows the solution, so that is good for replay. Under $3 is a good deal, especially if you think of it the way I explained it to my son. "Less than the cost of the smallest Dutch Brothers Coffee!"

Well, sorry I took so long to get back, but better reviews than mine are here. I did buy....why not? The price was right.
