    A Wizard's Curse (IHOG)

I went in to this game knowing that it was short, and short I can handle if it's a good game.

This one has beautiful, almost photo-realistic graphics, acceptable (but somewhat repetitive) music, and fairly good gameplay. What it doesn't have is a gripping story.

There are two difficulty modes to choose from, Normal and Expert. Hints and Skip are available in normal mode, and not available in expert mode. You can switch back and forth between difficulties at any time during the game.

There are separate sliders for Music, Sound, and Ambients, plus options for Full-screen or Widescreen, VSync (whatever that is), and custom cursor.

You play as an "alchemist", but I think that calling our antagonist an "herbalist" would be more appropriate. You will need to collect ingredients for multiple potions throughout the game, and making these potions is not at all difficult. Your journal keeps track of everything you need (usually only three ingredients), and tells you how to mix them. Easy peasy. As for our character, he is voiced over very nicely, and the design reminds me very much of Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing. I really love that corny movie, so I enjoyed that. lol~

Each hidden object scene is played twice, and the lists seem to be random, as I did repeat a few items during my searches.

So, what did I think about the game? Well, if I hadn't been so curious about the length of the game, I wouldn't have continued on past the first 20 minutes or so. Despite the game having some wonderful qualities, the lack of a gripping story made it feel a bit tedious to me. Add on to the fact that the game lasted me a whopping 1 hour 24 minutes, AND is only part of the story, and all I can think is... Lame. Sorry devs, you did a beautiful job on this game, but next time, give us a better story and a decent length!
